German Centre Shanghai Feuerzangenbowle

The German Centre Shanghai recently hosted the iconic “Feuerzangenbowle” event on 1st December 2023, bringing it back after a four-year hiatus. This event, a cornerstone of our yearly calendar, saw an impressive gathering of around 400 guests, symbolizing the vibrant community spirit we foster here.

Our Atrium and restaurant areas were transformed into festive zones, featuring a rich buffet alongside the much-anticipated Feuerzangenbowle drink and film. True to our commitment to providing versatile spaces, our conference room was reimagined into a cinema, offering a nostalgic screening of the classic Christmas film “Feuerzangenbowle,” starring Heinz Rühmann, to the delight of movie buffs.

The event also showcased an array of mulled wine and Brander Urstoff beer, coupled with a raffle drawing featuring prizes from our esteemed partners. A noteworthy addition this year was Playmobil’s sponsorship, which brought an extra layer of joy with gifts for both adults and children.

Witnessing the diverse mix of families, professionals, and members of the Sino-German business community come together was a testament to the dynamic and inclusive environment the German Centre Shanghai is known for. These interactions are at the heart of what we aim to facilitate – a place where business and culture intertwine seamlessly.
